Experience exceptional racquet sports at Raintree Country Club. Our premier complex features nine lighted courts, including five clay and four hard surfaces. Whether you're competing in USTA leagues or enjoying our growing Pickleball community, we offer something for every level. Aquatics
Raintree's 25 Meter Swimming Pool and Facilities are open the last two weekends in May including Memorial Day, and are open every day starting the first weekend in June through Labor Day. The pool is a great place to cool off in the summer months, and get to know fellow Members. The kids love the slide, and all the fun activities held at the pool throughout the season. Raintree has a very active Swim Team, The Stingrays, that competes in a local swim league. We also host Water Aerobics for our Members and their guests during the summer months.

1971
The Beginning
Raintree Country Club was officially established, marking the start of a premier private, member-run tradition in South Charlotte. Both the North and South Courses opened for play. Designed by architect Russell Breeden, they offered 36 holes of unique, challenging terrain.
80s & 90s
Championship Host
From 1981 to 1993, Raintree Country Club hosted the Southern Conference (SoCon) Men's Golf Championship. While ETSU dominated with eight team titles, future PGA Tour star Brad Faxon (Furman) left an unforgettable mark. In 1982, Faxon engaged in a legendary duel with ETSU’s Steve Munson, with both shooting a scorching 203 over 54 holes. Faxon returned to Raintree the following year to claim the 1983 individual medalist title with a 208.
90s & 2000s
A Championship Venue
Raintree frequently served as a host or qualifying site for prestigious regional amateur events sanctioned by organizations like the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA). Toward the late 90s and into the 2000s, the club continued it's Championship pedigree by hosting the Carolina Women's Senior and the North Carolina Senior Championships.
2011–2016
The Symetra Classic
For five years, Raintree's North Course was a featured stop on the Symetra Tour (now the Epson Tour), hosting the world’s top aspiring LPGA professionals.
2021
Golden Anniversary
Raintree celebrated 50 years of serving the community, cementing its status as a foundational pillar of South Charlotte's social and athletic life.
